I recently returned from a transformative week in Israel with Momentum, a "birthright of sorts" for moms. The trip was extraordinarily powerful. While there are so many takeaways from my time in Israel, one that I came home with was the desire to connect more to my family in meaningful ways. That meant, to start, celebrating Shabbat just once a month (I am entering into this slowly.) Yet, I did not yet have candlesticks. This week, in two Vendor Fairs in New Jersey, I met Liz of Oneg who stood before a most beautiful Shabbat tablescape and I was attracted immediately to this style. Liz was so helpful to me in selecting my first ever Shabbat Candlesticks. I ordered the Ash color, and they arrived yesterday even more beautiful than I'd remembered. What made this even more profound? In connecting with Liz after my purchase and telling her my reason for purchasing now, she revealed that the founder of Oneg was one of the founding members of Momentum -- thereby, connecting my worlds even more and making this gift to my family even more meaningful. I look forward to celebrating Shabbat tomorrow with my family and beautiful new candlesticks. Thanks Oneg for making a gorgeous product that I am proud to own, and for giving me a great story to share.
